Karl Kumm University will Reflect Diversity of Human Civilization- VC

The Vice Chancellor of Karl Kumm University KKU, Professor Nanven Gambo has said the newly established University though funded by COCIN, will reflect the diversity of human civilisation.

The VC was speaking in Jos, Plateau State at the just concluded General Church Council (GCC) meeting of the Church of Christ in Nations, COCIN, the proprietor of the Institution.

While reaffirming that the institution is set for take off by September this year, the Pioneer Vice Chancellor said the employment and admission process will be all encompassing.

“Let me say that although the University is funded by COCIN, but we are not going to limit everything to COCIN. We are not going to limit student enrolment to COCIN members only because a University should reflect the diversity of human civilisation. That is the beauty of a University.

“Even at the level of recruitment of staff, it has to be a good mix, so that diverse civilisation can interact to promote learning and teaching”, he said.

He added that while they do that, they will not be totally unmindful of the strategic interest of the Church and the sacrifices of members to ensure the realisation of the University saying, everybody will be given an adequate sense of inclusion and belonging.

Prof. Gambo also appreciated the Church congregation and friends for making this dream come true as he assured the Proprietor that by the special grace of God, they will drive the institution to meet the aspirations of the Church.
