THE SPEECH OF THE NEWLY ELECTED CHURCH OF CHRIST IN NATIONS (COCIN) PRESIDENT.
BACKGROUND
TO GOD BE THE GLORY. I humbly stand before you today as the 8th
President of Church of Christ in Nations formerly Church of Christ in
Nigeria (COCIN). I stand here before you as the embodiment of unity and oneness of the Church of Christ in Nations. I believe I am not the most qualified person to be the President of this great denomination, COCIN. It is His grace and it is His doing. It is marvelous in His sight. As I stand here on this memorable day reflecting on the previous services of my predecessors:
Rev. Damina Bawado – served for 30 years
Rev. Luther Cishak – served for 9 years
Rev. Dr. Musa Gotom – served for 9 years
Rev. Alexander Lar – served for 5 years
Rev. Prof. Pandang Yamsat – served for 8 years
Rev. Prof. Soja Joseph Bewarang – served for 2 years
Rev. Prof. Dachollom C. Datiri – retires today after 8 years.
I thank them for their services rendered to God through serving His church.
